The Florida League of International Baccalaureate Schools, Inc. (FLIBS) was founded in 1988 as a non-profit corporation to foster excellence in international education for students in our region. FLIBS supports our members by promoting the expansion of the IB program, offering high quality teacher and administrative training, and providing advocacy services to ensure that state and local government officials recognize the importance of the IB program as an effective path to school wide improvement and student achievement.

Brief

FLIBS needed a fully custom events platform to replace a system that was over ten years old. Throughout the year, the organisation hosts a wide variety of workshops and conferences, so they needed something that could keep pace with modern event management demands. As a result, our goal was to deliver a bespoke platform that centralises registrations, streamlines administration, and provides a smooth experience for members, schools, and attendees. Beyond improving functionality, the project also focused on strengthening FLIBS’ digital presence and ensuring long-term scalability.

By aligning the platform with IB school membership structures, we built something designed to grow alongside the organisation.

Project Executions

We designed and built a custom events management platform tailored specifically to FLIBS’ operational requirements. The system handles multiple event types, dynamic pricing, and tiered membership benefits. Furthermore, we carefully mapped key workflows — school-based registrations, individual sign-ups, and coordinator-managed groups — to reduce admin overhead while keeping the attendee experience smooth. For financial accuracy, the platform includes bespoke payment flows, role-based dashboards, and custom status tracking. In addition, automated invoice generation adapts to event dates, membership categories, and attendee details, while integrated discount logic supports member-exclusive benefits.

We also built functionality to generate and email personalised certificates of attendance directly to workshop participants — eliminating another manual task for the FLIBS team.
