The Florida League of International Baccalaureate Schools, Inc. (FLIBS) was founded in 1988 as a non-profit corporation to foster excellence in international education for students in our region. FLIBS supports our members by promoting the expansion of the IB program, offering high quality teacher and administrative training, and providing advocacy services to ensure that state and local government officials recognize the importance of the IB program as an effective path to school wide improvement and student achievement.

Brief

FLIBS required a fully custom built events platform to replace their existing ten-year-old plus system. The organization hosts a wide variety of workshops and conferences throughout the year, and they needed a solution that could keep pace with modern event management demands. The goal was to deliver a bespoke, future-ready platform that centralizes registrations, streamlines administration, and provides a seamless experience for members, schools, and attendees.

Beyond improving functionality, the project was also about strengthening FLIBS’ digital presence and ensuring scalability for years to come. By aligning the platform with the unique structures of IB schools and their membership tiers, the system was designed not just to handle today’s events but to grow alongside the organization’s evolving needs.

Project Executions

We designed and developed a custom-built events management platform tailored specifically to FLIBS’ operational requirements. The system was architected to handle the complexity of multiple event types, dynamic pricing structures, and tiered membership benefits. Key workflows—such as school-based registrations, individual sign-ups, and coordinator-managed groups—were carefully mapped and implemented to provide a smooth experience for attendees while reducing administrative overhead for staff.

To ensure financial accuracy and operational control, the platform incorporates bespoke payment flows, role-based dashboards, and unique status tracking (including “Payment Verify,” “Confirmed Paid,” and “Waitlisted”). Automated invoice generation was designed to adapt to event dates, membership categories, and attendee details, while integrated discount logic supports member-exclusive benefits. In addition, the system includes functionality to generate personalized certificates of attendance, which can be batch-created and emailed directly to participants of specific workshops—further reducing manual work for staff and enhancing the attendee experience.
